In less than one week I’ll be on the open road touring the state by bicycle. For the 5th year in a row I’ll be a part of the Bikewisconsin.com group seeing the sights and experiencing the culture of Wisconsin the best way possible, by bicycle. This year’s ride, SAGBRAW, runs from August 1 – 6, starts in Columbus and winds around Lake Winnebago overnighting in the cities of Waupun, Plymouth, Mishicot, Appleton, and Green Lake.
Some of the sights of this year’s tour include: being a ‘public enemy’ in downtown Columbus, biking under the heavily forested canopy of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, visiting the awesome M. Schettl wonderland, eating at Mullins Drive in in Fox Lake, and stopping in at the Green Lake County Fair.
Look here next week for daily updates and video posts from this year’s adventure. Leave a comment if there is something special you want me to check out on the road. You can also view my position in realtime at aprs.fi. (Realtime GPS tracking courtesy of www.jpole-antenna.com.)
