Susie Weber of Menasha is not your ordinary mother to be. An avid cyclist, she decided that she would bike to her doctors appointments and delivery during the pregnancy. On on the morning of October 7, she and her husband Paul biked about one mile to the Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah and 12 hours later Susie gave birth to Tess.
From the Appleton Post-Crescent:
The bike-to-birth plan was hatched last March when she biked to her first appointment at the Women’s Care of Wisconsin office of Dr. Kristin Clark.
“We do a lot of biking,” Weber said. “It was a great early spring day. I just said on a whim, ‘I think I’ll bike to all the appointments and the delivery.’ Obviously, the big goal was to have a healthy baby but that was just a side thing.”
